Preparing for Voter Fraud: Remembering Wisconsin Governor Doyle's Veto of a Bipartisan Voter ID Bill

posted Monday, 1 November 2004

Democrats and Republicans in Wisconsin's state legislature combined forces to pass a long-needed bill to reduce voter fraud by requiring ID from voters. In an era of increasing voter fraud, it makes a lot of sense. Sadly, Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle vetoed that bill. He claims it would hurt the poor and the elderly. If voter fraud is good for the poor and the elderly, maybe it's good for all voters, including those who are most likely to be intimidated and disenfranchised by any efforts to reduce voter fraud - especially the non-citizen voters, the extraterrestrial voters, and the decreased voters.

As the future President-elect of the Deceased Voters Political Action Group and the living Treasurer of Deceased Voters for Kerry-Edwards, it's my honor to nominate Governor Doyle for the Deceased Voters Award of Honor. Requiring voter ID is an abhorrent form of discrimination against the life-impaired. Long live rights for the dead!
