Property Rights: Critical for Liberty

The leftists on the Supreme Court have just ruled that government can take people's property (with "fair" compensation) whenever it's good for government. If they can find some other use of your land that will give them more tax revenue, they can force you off it. This is an incredible violation of what the Constitution is all about - and a significant step toward a Marxist state. States need to act now to pass legislation to protect property rights from such seizure.

The amazing thing about the Left is that they claim to be people of compassion, all worried about protecting the poor, when their actions show that all they really care about is increasing the power of government. With this latest decision from the Supreme Court, government is more powerful than ever and can force poor people off their lands for the benefit of government. It's sickening.
