Amnerica's Disease Threat: The Open Border

Our Federal Government has an obligation to protect our borders to not only prevent enemies from entering our nation, but also to keep out DISEASE. This is a huge issue that seems to have been completely neglected by the press. One recent article by Phyllis Schlafly makes the cogent point that Homeland Security should be taking steps to protect us from disease, as well as the terrorist threat that an open border poses. But there seems to be no interest in that. They'd rather spy on actual citizens that deal with the real problem of a porous border - a problem that could easily be solves with a few thousand troops brought home from Irag and posted along the border.

If the war on terrorism were a real war to protect America, don't you think we should stop illegal foreigners from just walking across the border and bringing whatever weapons, drugs, or microbes they can?
