With all the controversy over the results of the Nov. 21 presidential election in the Ukraine, the Ukrainian Parliament has now declared the results invalid. The Moscow Times reports that exit polls showed a clear win for Yushchenko , but Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych somehow received a majority of the votes after they were counted by the Central Election Commission; many people are saying the election was rigged. A post on the Ukraine at PowerLine Blog provides email from a US bond trader showing how severe the corruption in the Ukraine is and how it is assisted by money from the West. The Yanukovych campaign has been raking in the bucks from corrupt Western sources. I guess this is the way one does businiess in the Ukraine.
The situation is so desperate that Yanukovych, according to my high-ranking sources, is planning on hiring Jeb Bush as a consultant to assist in their appeal to the US Supreme Court.
