The Netherlands' Predictable Decline: Now They're Euthanizing Infants

The slippery slope is so predictable: down is the natural direction, and it's awfully hard to stop. Case in point: The Netherlands, the land synonymous with legal euthanasia for adults who are terminally ill or just want to give up. Many people are now claiming to be shocked over the news that The Netherlands has begun practicing euthanasia of infants. I'm disappointed, but not shocked: that's the direction one can expect when the State plays the role of God and dares to decide who will live and die. Hey, Dutch children, get the best grades you can! Sooner or later, your State-is-God government just might want to purify the gene pool and remove impure elements that don't meet their criteria for life worth living.
