A Truly Sane Defense
We, the undersigned, do therefore call for the following to take place immediately:
- Removal of the United Nations Headquarters facilities from New York, relocating it outside of the United States and any of its territories.
- A thorough review of the US financial contributions to the UN with a goal of a more equitable payment schedule. Until that review is concluded, eliminate all the payments made by the United States to the United Nations.
The petition page refers to the food-for-oil scandal of the UN's leader and his son, of the role of the UN as a supporter of international terrorism (witness their enduring support for Arafat and the UN's legitimization of the "any means available" approach for revolutionaries to get their way), and mismanagement of UN funds. One could also point to the betrayal of American interests by the UN, such as the betrayal of American soldiers during the Korean War, as evidenced by my own father's testimony on the matter. Any war run by the United Nations will be a no-win war for America. Should we continue giving them vast amounts of money and forcing our soldiers to fight as UN soldiers? Should we support an organization that puts the interests of our enemies above our interests? Why leave open the possibility of more payments, MoveAmericaForward? Let's throw the bums out. And no more immunity for crazed UN delegates creating havoc in New York and beyond.
