Hmong History in Paintings: The Work of Cy Thao

An excellent and brief overview of Hmong history and the migration of the Hmong people from Laos is told in a series of paintings by Cy Thao at the Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Many Americans and even many Hmong people don't understand what brought the Hmong to the United States, and what role the Hmong people played in fighting for the United States so bravely in a secret war in Laos during the Vietnam War. It's a tragic tale that needs to be told.
