Weather Channel Sues Networks

The Weather Channel today filed lawsuits against ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox TV for illegal copying of the Weather Channel's look and feel. Since the former news networks have dropped  coverage of all events other than weather, many viewers are confused, according to Weather Channel lawyers, and believe they are watching the Weather Channel when in fact it is some other channel. Representatives of the sued networks were unavailable for comment due to being on hurricane duty. However, one unnamed former CBS executive defended the network by noting that real news has been off their programming for several years, and that it's a little late for the Weather Channel to start complaining now.
