Able Danger: The Government's Cover Up

posted Thursday, 6 October 2005
Americans should be outraged over information coming out on "Able Danger," the program that identified key 9-11 terrorists as threats to America long before 9-11 happened. Those who pointed out the danger were silenced, and now the Pentagon has been trying to silence and intimidate those who knew about Able Danger. The 9-11 Commission refused to take their testimony. It really smells of a cover up, indicating that the Federal Government is not truly interested in protecting America, but is highly interested in protecting its reputation. But this should come as no surprise. If we're in a war on terror, why is it that our troops are on the other side of the world fighting in a country that was NOT involved in 9-11, while OUR BORDERS REMAIN OPEN so that terrorists can easily walk across, along with hundreds of thousands of other illegals? How can this be?

When a mushroom cloud rises over an American city - something that could easily happen now - it will create another crisis that the Federal Government will use to justify even more power and less freedom for Americans. The plans to increase Federal power were already in place before 9-11. The Homeland Security legislation for monitoring citizens was already written, just waiting for a catalyst. We need more constraints on power-hungry politicians, not more power for them. Freedom hangs in the balance.

Can we trust the Bush Administration? No! Look, the borders remain open. Terrorists can get in easily. The war on terror is a scam.

The Bush administration has been a disappointment to conservatives on the border issue, but no major national figure has really stepped up on this issue. Even Texas's governor Rick Perry sold out the voters who explicitly voted for him after he promised to close the border.
