Sealing the Borders to Protect Iraqi Voters: Let's Try It Here, Too!

posted Friday, 28 January 2005

Faced with the threat of terrorists coming across the border to disrupt life for would-be voters in Iraq, the American military is helping Iraqis to do something wildly . . . logical: sealing the borders to keep enemies out. It's far from easy, but it can be done. And if we can do it on the other side of the world, then I've got one vital question for our government: WHY NOT HERE? Why leave American voters vulnerable when hostile terrorists from other nations can walk freely across the border. Why is our government willing to ignore the safety of all Americans to avoid offending Mexican politicians and losing Latino votes? We are at risk. American lives are at jeopardy. And we are leaving the borders wide open. It's outrageous.
